Residents' checklist…

Is residential care right for me?

At Angel Healthcare, we support prospective residents and their families throughout the decision making process. From the first enquiry through to settling in, we want to ensure residential care in one of our care homes is the right move. All prospective residents are assessed before arrival by a member of our experienced management team.

We have come up with a list of statements for prospective residents and their families. If several of these statements apply, moving into residential care could be suitable to ensure safety, improved quality of life and peace of mind.

  • I’ve recently stopped going out of the house so much into the garden or to the local shops, the thought of being outside alone is overwhelming.
  • I’ve had a couple falls and it took a while for someone to assist me leaving me frightened.
  • My family are wonderful and visit when they can, but I still get lonely sometimes.
  • I’m becoming more forgetful as I get older, which is causing anxiety, I’d like to know there is always someone there to comfort and reassure me in a safe environment.
  • I’m becoming less able to care for myself, sometimes I skip meals because I’m not able to cook all the time.
  • I don’t have many friends but I’d like to live somewhere where I can join in with social activities.

If you would like more information on whether or not residential care is the right choice for you, please get in touch today to speak to one of our experienced team, who will be happy to discuss this with you.
